Project Coordinator

Our Project Management (PM) unit provides technical/programmatic/support services in Birches Groups consulting practice critical to achieving the organization’s mission through the provision of project management services and substantive expertise in project execution. The PM team engages International Organizations and Bilateral organizations to expand consulting services in the context of projects.

The Project Coordinator, as a member of the PM team, supports project management ensuring consistency and conformity of delivery according to Birches Group standards.  The timely and consistent provision of services that conform to established procedures is essential in ensuring the integrity of project management and in promoting effective/efficient services to the larger consulting program of Birches Group.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Examine the organization of data to support consulting project design/delivery against consulting program/delivery metrics;
• Reconcile and oversee data/metrics on project execution and delivery, that feed into project pipeline reporting/planning, and processes to ensure sustained PM activities across dynamic operation conditions/demands.
• Advise PM team on project management and delivery issues that impede delivery/consistency/conformity;
• Advise and coordinate with project stakeholders on guidelines, timelines, procedures, and other administrative tasks according to the specific project plans to build an informed basis for interactions and to support the smooth and sustained project execution and delivery;
• Monitor project management cycle/stages to anticipate bottlenecks throughout the project execution that will feed into the establishment of mitigation strategies to ensure timely project delivery;
• Anticipate operational and systematic issues affecting the quality of project management based on data on overall consulting program performance that will be useful to project planning, resource allocation, and decision-making on process improvements.

Targeted Specialized Knowledge:

• University degree
• Excellent organizational skills with experience in process management and monitoring as well as using online/computer tools in project tracking and management;
• Good communication skills (keeping others informed, generating follow-ups and pointing out problems/issues).
