Why we need you: As a Culinary Training Consultant, you will share your culinary expertise with galley crews by conducting training sessions, providing hands-on training, and carrying out onboard visits to vessels.You will support crews in achieving and maintaining the highest standards in the maritime industry by delivering culturally aligned training and consultancy, while empowering them to develop their skills and succeed in their roles.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

•  Effectively executing culinary training programs.
  
• Assessing the competence and progress of trainees.
  
• Ensuring proper inventory procedures are followed in the galley.
  
• Preparing and organizing training courses and materials.
  
• Compiling and submitting post-training reports.
  
• Following established communication and reporting protocols.
  
• Reporting to the Culinary Training Manager regarding updates or training challenges.
  
• Coordinating with the Operations Manager on administrative and operational matters.
  
• Performing other duties as assigned.

You need these qualifications:

• Graduate of a Culinary College or Hotel Management College.
• At least two years of working experience as a Chef.
• Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal).
• Good communication skills.
• Computer literacy, including strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Willingness to travel.
  
  
  

It Would Be Nice If:

• You have prior experience in conducting culinary training or mentoring kitchen staff.
• Experience as a Chief Cook onboard merchant vessels is an advantage.
• You are familiar with maritime catering standards and practices.
