Position Title:  Fraud MIS Officer

Job Summary

• The position is primarily responsible in production of regular and ad-hoc Management Information System (MIS) reports and maintaining the fraud databases.  He will ensure that all reports are within TAT and accurate. In addition, he ensures that the fraud databases are accurate and updated. He will provide analytics support to the Fraud MIS Head and will also serve as the primary back-up of the Fraud MIS Head for the analytics functions for Fraud including parameter setting.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

·       Generate all the regular reports for periodic review of the Fraud Teams (Issuing Team, Acquiring Team and Investigations Team) within turn-around-time.

·       Maintains and monitors the fraud databases from end-to-end (detection – provisioning – write-off - recovery) and ensures accuracy and timeliness of update.

• Produce and modify report architectures that will improve the efficiency and accuracy of Fraud reporting methods.
• Work with internal clients to understand their requirements and create SAS programs to satisfy MI requests within the agreed TAT
• Utilize SAS to analyze fraud trends for both acquiring and issuing business to ensure that the detection parameters are updated to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the Fraud Unit.
• Helps the different fraud teams to identify possible opportunities in improving efficiency of performance through segmentation and false positive analysis, ad-hoc queries, and supporting reports.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and supports them with relevant data to aid in management decisions
• Generates list of affected accounts together with pertinent information via SAS based on requirements of the requesting team. 
• Initiates process improvements and automation projects via SAS and other tools to ensure proper management of the team’s FTE requirements.
• Manages fraud server to ensure that resources are sufficient by archiving documents on monthly basis or as needed
• Regularly monitors the volume handled by the detection teams to manage FTE capacity
• Maintain integrity of reports by utilizing techniques and methods aligned with the business unit objectives.
• Serves as the primary back-up of the Fraud MIS Head functions.
• Perform projects/responsibilities/special tasks that may be assigned from time to time (eg. BORC, BCP, Cost Champion, Corp. Correspondents, Line trainer, e-Champ

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree holder; preferably graduate of Statistics or Information Technology/ Software Programming course
• Has at least 2 years of work related experience in a financial institution preferably from a credit card company.
• Proficient in SAS (at least 1 year programming experience).
• Experience in database management/report generation and Cardlink application is an advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Willing to report onsite 100%
