Cash Settlements Officer

Role Summary: 

The Cash Settlements Officer is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of cash and investment transactions while maintaining strong operational controls and regulatory compliance. The role works closely with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve settlement issues, improve processes, and support reliable and efficient investment operations.

What Business Outcomes the Role is Responsible for: 

• Deliver Accurate & Timely Settlements: Ensure transactions, documentation, and reports are processed and completed within required timelines with minimal to zero operational errors.
• Strengthen Risk, Compliance & Controls: Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies while ensuring audit requirements are complete, accurate, and readily available for internal, external, and BSP reviews.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Resolve settlement and operational issues effectively while contributing to process improvement, digitalization, and other initiatives that improve efficiency, controls, and service delivery.
  
  

What We’re Looking For in a Successful Candidate:

• Relevant Experience: Brings at least three years of relevant experience in settlements operations within banking, investments, trust, asset management, or a related financial services environment.
• Operational & Analytical Excellence: Demonstrates strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive transactions accurately in a deadline-driven environment.
• Integrity & Stakeholder Management: Demonstrates a high level of integrity and strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues and work effectively across internal teams and external counterparties.
