Primary Responsibilities
- The Business Process Excellence & Transformation Specialist is responsible for driving organizational efficiency and digital innovation. Reporting directly to the BPET Leader, this role leads systems improvement initiatives to support process optimization, automation, and AI adoption. The specialist collaborates with the Data Analytics team, systems analysts, process owners, and the company IT department to design, implement, and sustain improvements that deliver measurable business value.

- Lead systems improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and support organizational transformation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Analytics, IT, systems analysts, and process owners.
- Drive automation, digitization, and AI adoption across business processes.
- Provide actionable insights through advanced data analytics and reporting.
- Champion change management and continuous improvement methodologies
Specific Responsibilities
- Process Excellence & Transformation
- Lead cross-functional projects to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Apply structured methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive sustainable improvements.
- Ensure transformation initiatives are aligned with organizational objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Drive change management activities to facilitate adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Data Analytics
- Partner with the Data Analytics team to collect, clean, and analyze business data using Advanced Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and other BI tools.
- Develop dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to guide process improvement initiatives.
- Automation & Digitization
- Collaborate with systems analysts and IT teams to design and implement workflow automation using Power Automate or equivalent platforms.
- Lead digitization efforts to replace manual processes with scalable, technology-driven solutions.
- Ensure automation solutions are integrated effectively with existing systems and processes.
- Artificial Intelligence
- Explore and deploy AI-driven solutions using Copilot Studio or similar platforms.
- Support predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and machine learning initiatives.
- Provide training and guidance to teams on AI adoption and digital transformation practices.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.
- Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to:
- Demonstrates strong obligation to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures, and work instructions by actively participating in meetings, projects, and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE
- Perform appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace
- Disposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements
- Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements
- Efficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superior
- Maintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization’s 5S program and guidelines
- Maintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE Coordinators
- Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management
- Fulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System
- Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligations
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Engineering, or other technology-related fields.
- Business-related degrees (e.g., Business Administration) may be considered if paired with strong technical expertise.
- 2–3 years of experience in process improvement, data analytics, or digital transformation.
