Account Technology

The role provides thought leadership by leveraging deep expertise in Microsoft solutions, industry trends, and customer needs, while serving as the voice of the customer across the organization. Partnering with senior business and technology leaders, this individual shapes and executes technology strategies, develops long-range technical roadmaps, identifies and creates new opportunities, and drives demand generation. In addition, the role enables successful customer outcomes by guiding solution development, mapping business requirements to Microsoft platforms, influencing strategic technology decisions, and ensuring alignment between customer priorities and Microsoft’s innovation agenda. Through collaboration, coaching, and executive engagement, this position plays a critical role in accelerating customer success and adoption of Microsoft technologies at scale.

Customer and Industry Insights

• Applies expertise (deep expertise across few accounts or broad expertise across many accounts) and thought leadership to identify and inform the development of the right Industry Sales Kits and industry partners within the customers vertical industry
• organization challenge customers to consider alternatives and adapt strategies, plans, business models, and solutions to insights
• Orchestrates cross-regional teams to gather information, collaborate on performance markers, and identify potential risks in customer accounts

• Partner with senior business and technology leaders to understand strategic priorities and position Microsoft solutions to drive long-term business growth and transformation.
• Drive customer business transformation through Microsoft Cloud, AI, and digital solutions.
• Advise customers on technology strategy, competitive positioning, and innovation opportunities.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with business and technology decision-makers.

Education and Thought Leadership

• Lead executive-level technology engagements and influence customer, partner, and Microsoft stakeholders to support business transformation initiatives.
• Deliver strategic technology and industry insights to senior decision-makers, helping customers maximize the value of Microsoft solutions.
• Drive innovation and thought leadership by promoting best practices, emerging technologies, and long-term platform adoption.
• Drive innovation by identifying emerging technology opportunities and developing scalable capability-building programs.

Technology Strategy Formulation

• Develop and drive multi-year technology strategies and roadmaps that align customer business objectives with digital transformation goals.
• Partner with executive stakeholders to define industry-specific technology architectures and accelerate adoption of Microsoft Cloud, AI, and strategic solutions.
• Lead customer transformation initiatives by identifying business opportunities, addressing challenges, and translating strategic priorities into actionable technology plans.
• Identify opportunities to increase technology adoption, accelerate business outcomes, and maximize value from Microsoft solutions and services.

Trusted Advisor

• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and provide strategic guidance on Microsoft technologies, industry trends, and digital transformation opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and customer decision-makers to align technology solutions with business priorities and drive successful outcomes.
• Act as a customer advocate by sharing insights, feedback, and business requirements with internal stakeholders to improve customer success and solution adoption.
• Leverage knowledge of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and Microsoft solutions to identify opportunities that create customer value and accelerate business transformation.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 6+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related technical/sales experience OR equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in English for professional business communication.
• Experience supporting the adoption of cloud, AI, security, or digital transformation solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

 Preferred qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 12+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related technical/sales experience OR equivalent experience.
• 6+ years experience in relevant customer industry.
• 6+ years experience in digital transformation, or using technology to drive customer business outcomes.
• Experience working within enterprise customer environments and developing industry-specific business and technology strategies.
• Ability to influence senior business and technical decision-makers and build trusted advisor relationships in complex enterprise environments.
