Area Manager

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Area Manager, you lead a group of stores together with Store Managers to drive strong business results, operational excellence, and a great customer experience. You ensure consistent execution, support store teams through coaching and follow-up, and enable smooth operations in alignment with H&M's global values and long-term ambitions.

You will:

• Deliver strong business results by driving sales, profitability, and operational excellence across your stores
• Secure a consistent and high-quality customer experience by ensuring H&M standards and ways of working are followed
• Lead commercial execution—adapting campaigns, store activations, and priorities to your local market
• Build and develop high-performing teams by coaching Store Managers and strengthening succession and engagement
• Collaborate across functions and create alignment to enable smooth operations and clear direction for store teams
• Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement—managing risks, ensuring compliance, and supporting sustainability goals

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You’ll work closely with Store Managers and Area Teams, while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across People, Expansion, Tech, Visual, and Controlling—connecting store reality with market and global priorities.

This role will be reporting to the General Manager.

WHO YOU ARE

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail, or similar, or 5+ years of strong retail leadership experience managing multiple stores or teams
• Are business-driven with a strong understanding of sales, operations, and customer experience
• Act with ownership, follow through on performance, and deliver results
