Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy trucks to transport goods and materials efficiently.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle routinely.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules for maximum efficiency.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle service records.
• Coordinate with dispatchers to receive, relay, and adjust delivery instructions.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws to avoid violations.
• Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Report road incidents, mechanical faults, and delays promptly.
• Mix effective customer service in delivering goods to satisfy clients' needs.
• Operate equipment for loading and unloading cargo if necessary.
• Perform roadside emergency repairs to ensure timely continuation of trips.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and clean driving record required.
• Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role mandatory.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps essential for route planning.
• Good knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations needed.
• Ability to drive long distances and work nights and weekends occasionally.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with customers.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle long hours and heavy lifting tasks.
