Job Description

The role of a Procurement Executive is vital within an organization as it involves handling procurement activities that are crucial for maintaining optimal levels of supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This position is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services needed by the company while ensuring compliance with predetermined quality and cost expectations. A Procurement Executive works closely with suppliers, negotiates contracts, and fosters relationships to secure the best possible deals. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies in alignment with company goals.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify cost-effective purchasing sources.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to ensure beneficial terms and compliance.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with key management to assess supply needs and budget constraints.
  • Prepare detailed procurement reports and monitor expenditure against budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier agreements and transactions effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement laws and internal policies consistently.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance procurement processes and workflows.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Provide training and support to junior procurement staff as necessary.
  • Evaluate supplier bids and proposals for suitability and competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite necessary.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions quickly.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and market dynamics.
