Job Description

The IT Application Support 04D25 role is a dynamic position that involves providing technical support for a wide range of enterprise applications. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of IT systems and an ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical users. Reporting to the IT Support Manager, the IT Application Support specialist will ensure the smooth operation of business applications, providing support and solutions as necessary. This role is critical for maintaining the productivity and efficiency of the internal teams by ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of applications essential for business operations.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for various enterprise applications.
  • Monitor application performance and ensure application uptime and performance.
  • Work closely with the development team for application improvements.
  • Maintain a log of all support issues and resolutions for future reference.
  • Identify application-related issues and escalate as needed to the development team.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem resolution for application issues.
  • Support end-users by providing training and guidance on application use.
  • Develop and update support documentation for end-user and internal use.
  • Assist in the deployment and testing of application updates and patches.
  • Collaborate with vendors on support and maintenance issues as needed.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to integrate applications with other IT services.
  • Maintain data integrity by ensuring applications meet security standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in application support or a similar technical support role.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in issue resolution.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ITIL processes or IT service management frameworks is preferred.
