Job Description

The HR Specialist is a pivotal role within the Human Resources Department responsible for overseeing and refining the recruitment process, managing employee relations, and administering various HR initiatives and programs. This position is crucial for ensuring that the organization attracts, retains, and develops talent in alignment with its objectives and values. The HR Specialist will collaborate closely with department managers and other HR team members to foster an inclusive, equitable workplace. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR best practices, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the end-to-end recruitment process to attract top talent.
  • Manage employee onboarding processes to ensure smooth assimilation into the organization.
  • Facilitate employee training and development needs to enhance workforce capability.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, addressing inquiries and ensuring compliance.
  • Handle employee relations issues like grievances or disputes, providing resolutions.
  • Maintain and update employee records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality is maintained.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to management on HR-related issues and processes.
  • Organize HR events and initiatives to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Conduct exit interviews providing insights into employee turnover trends and solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR team members on various projects and special assignments as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in human resources or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices is essential.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software management systems.
  • Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus, but not mandatory.
