Job Description

The HR and Admin Supervisor is a vital part of any organization, tasked with overseeing and streamlining both human resources and administrative functions to ensure efficient operation. This role is pivotal in guiding HR policies, improving administrative processes, and supporting the overall strategic goals of the company. They are responsible for managing a team of HR and administrative staff, providing mentorship to junior staff, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be highly organized, and possess excellent communication abilities to effectively liaise between various departments and management. The HR and Admin Supervisor plays a critical role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that all employees have the resources they need to perform their duties.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the HR and administrative departments.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Manage recruitment processes including workforce planning, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, corporate policies, and industry standards.
  • Design and conduct training and development programs for employees.
  • Maintain and update employee records using HR management software systems.
  • Conduct performance appraisal processes to support staff development and improvement.
  • Coordinate administrative functions, such as office management and budget oversight.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees addressing workplace issues and needs.
  • Prepare reports on HR metrics like employee turnover rates and retention strategies.
  • Develop and enforce procedures to promote a positive organizational culture.
  • Collaborate with management to forecast future staffing needs and workforce development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in an HR supervisory or administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience with HR management software and payroll systems.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to manage diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly.
