Job Description

An Accounts Payable Representative III is an advanced-level professional responsible for the management and efficient processing of billing, payments, and financial transactions within an organization. This role is pivotal in maintaining the company's financial health by ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, managing discrepancies, and collaborating with multiple departments to achieve organizational goals. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accurate processing of invoices and ensure timely payment cycles.
  • Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records and documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits of accounts payable reports and transaction records.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of payment processes.
  • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrections.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance departmental performance.
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to streamline workflow operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly accounts payable aging reports and ledgers.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process to forecast payable liabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounts payable role preferred.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff members or leading small teams is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team.
