Job Description

The Accounting Coordinator plays a crucial role in the financial department, ensuring accurate and timely management of the company’s financial records. This position requires a skilled individual who is comfortable with multi-tasking and working collaboratively with other departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting audits, and assisting with budgeting processes. You will also be involved in tracking financial transactions, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Accounting Coordinator acts as a pivotal point of contact between different departments and supports the Accounting Manager in enhancing the financial processes of the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular auditing checks to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.
  • Coordinate the accounting functions with other departments to ensure alignment.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies found therein.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive record of financial transactions and documents.
  • Oversee invoice processing and manage reconciliation of payments.
  • Provide support during financial audits and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Handle inquiries related to financial matters from clients and vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
