Job Description

An Accounting Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the financial department of an organization, ensuring that all accounting tasks are carried out with utmost accuracy and efficiency. As an integral team member, the Accounting Coordinator is responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, including managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining financial records, and assisting with budget preparations and audits. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the capability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with other departments, the Accounting Coordinator also helps to ensure that financial reporting is in compliance with regulations and standards, supporting the strategic and operational decision-making processes of the company.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor company accounts to ensure accurate financial records are kept.
  • Prepare and process financial documents, such as bills, invoices, and bank statements.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to create and maintain budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial data.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with financial laws and industry regulations, updating policies as needed.
  • Support auditors with the coordination and review of audits, ensuring data integrity.
  • Communicate financial performance and projections to internal teams and management.
  • Implement effective solutions for discrepancies and report them to management promptly.
  • Maintain and safeguard all financial documents, ensuring a secure and organized filing system.
  • Assist with special accounting projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP is essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
