Job Summary / Objective

You are responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks necessary to ensure the organised and timely flow of work through our production workshop. You will work closely alongside the purchasing and production management teams. To be successful in this role, you should be well-organised, detail-oriented, logically-minded, and be able to act without guidance.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Acknowledge and schedule customer orders on the Manufacturing Resource Planning

(MRP) software

  • Acknowledge and schedule worker requirements on the Scheduling software
  • Ensure both systems are up-to-date and consistent
  • Update expected delivery and completion dates for purchase orders
  • Update Manufacturing Order (MO) dates across multiple production sites
  • Ensure MOs and Bills of Materials (BOMs) and are up-to-date
  • Report materials requirements and stock shortages to purchasing department
  • Support sales department with expected shipment dates
  • Liaise with sales department to ensure accurate order information is transferred
  • Other duties as required by management

On Typical Day,You Will

  • Review all new and outstanding customer orders, and check that they are ready to be released to production
  • Request further information/drawings from sales department as required
  • Create MOs for each product, and ensure correct material usage
  • Update the production schedule with new orders and allocate production requirements
  • Check for any missing stock and allocate across production sites
  • Update expected completion dates on the production schedule
  • Review generated production schedule and expedite as required

  • Proficient in spreadsheet software
  • Experience in a job shop production environment
  • Strong understanding of raw material requirements, production processes, and workflow processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of MRP software, particularly stock management (stock lots)
  • Experience with MRPeasy software (https://www.mrpeasy.com) beneficial, but not required
