The Logistics Coordinator ensures the efficient, accurate, and timely execution of transportation and distribution operations. This role oversees truck allocation, third-party trucker coordination, inter-plant and warehouse transfers, and logistics documentation, while ensuring compliance with ISO and HACCP standards. The position plays a critical role in optimizing logistics performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Truck & Delivery Coordination
Prepare daily truck tray allocations to maximize vehicle utilization and support efficient loading of breads and trade items.
Coordinate and schedule inter-plant and inter-warehouse transfers of finished goods and trade items.
Ensure the availability of commercial vehicles aligned with Sales demand and delivery requirements.
Dispatch Monitoring & Performance Management
Monitor truckers’ adherence to target arrival and departure schedules at plants, feeding stations, and outlets; issue late-arrival penalties when applicable.
Conduct regular and spot loading audits to ensure compliance with dispatch schedules and operating procedures.
Evaluate third-party trucker performance against agreed service standards and recommend improvement actions.
Fleet & Repair Coordination
Coordinate with the Fleet Section and accredited repair shops for preventive maintenance scheduling, repairs, transfers, and truck deployment.
Facilitate and assess corrective repair requests and demand-driven maintenance activities.
Monitor repair shop billings and payments, and assist in sourcing and accrediting new repair service providers as needed.
Coordinate with Laguna Logistics and Purchasing for the booking or rental of backup trucks.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare, process, and ensure the accuracy of Trip Tickets and other transport-related documents.
Submit complete and timely logistics reports and documents to FRS, following up on pending or unremitted files.
Prepare, maintain, and audit ISO and HACCP documentation for the Distribution section.
Generate regular operational and performance reports in accordance with agreed schedules and deadlines.
Collaboration & Training
Provide timely updates and resolution of delivery concerns to the Sales team.
Support the training and orientation of new and existing truckers to ensure compliance with company policies and logistics standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Fleet, Purchasing, and Production to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of any four-year course; Industrial Engineering or a related field is preferred
One (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Working knowledge of ISO standards and documentation requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
