The Position: North American Sales Director
The North American Sales Director leads the company’s branded sales business in the United States and Canada. This includes key retail partners, independent distributors and specialty accounts. This position reports to the Global VP of Sales, who is a member of the Leadership Team.

You are based in Colorado and have solid experience working in the outdoor, bike, or run markets across the country. You have a strong network and a deep understanding of the national and specialty outdoor business that will allow you to make an immediate impact. You know the products in these categories and recognize the value they bring to athletes of all levels and are eager to become a hydration expert.
Responsibilities
Overall Management
- Oversee and manage the North America sales team (US and Canada), ensuring alignment with HydraPaks overall sales objectives.
- Direct management of select NA Strategic Accounts and a team of internal sales managers as well as management of independent rep agencies.
- Set sales goals, monitor performance, drive accountability, and ensure that regions and key accounts meet or exceed their targets.
- Manage and address end to end sales success interaction with cross functional, departments (marketing, operations, CX/DX, product)
- Own seasonal GTM tool builds including sales programs, VTA management, data analysis, product pricing input, commercial input to R&D team, marketing connectivity to sales initiatives.
- Own the elevation and execution of the B2B platform to ensure maximization of order submission, processing, and tracking to our specialty account network. Leverage B2B platform to drive incremental interaction with accounts centered around customer service and constant sales driving strategies.
- Manage the custom design service we offer with a focused approach to leverage for incremental sales and growth of inline business with retailers.
Pricing & Distribution
- Develop national pricing strategies and sales programs in collaboration with finance and product teams.
- Oversee distribution channels – Strategic, Specialty, Custom – ensuring timely product delivery and availability across different regions.
- Ensure retail distribution in skus and accounts is positioned to capitalize on all brand marketing efforts into sales.
- Direct revenue and management ownership of our defined North America strategic accounts.
- Launch business into national sporting goods retailers of choice. DSG, Scheels, Academy, etc…
- Research and identify new business opportunities, retail partners, and distributors in the US and Canadian markets.
- Expand presence in relevant categories.
- Conduct market analysis to ensure product-market fit in various regions across the US
Relationship Management
- Own executive level relationships and business development strategies at all North America strategic accounts; including hosting annual top to top meetings focused on business development, alignment of successful KPI’s, and address any business challenges to growth.
- Foster collaboration between sales, marketing, product development, and customer service teams.
- Build and/or maintain strong relationships with US retail partners, key accounts and distributors.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with partners to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Own all interactions and management of independent rep groups including; onboarding, commissions, reporting, dealer resources, B2B, samples, key regional accounts, and business development.
- Ensure independent rep groups elevate HydraPak’s level of customer service at all times. Maintain involved relationships with rep owned key regional accounts to ensure maximum service and sales growth potential maintains top priority.
Data & Reporting
- Track and analyze US sales performance, reporting on key metrics such as revenue, market share, and profit margins.
- Use sales data to forecast future performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Monitor financial performance and budget allocation for national sales efforts.
- Be an expert and train the sales dept to read, analyze, and utilize sales data to further the business and become a true data expert to our retail partners.
- Work in tandem with our sales and operations team to produce and maintain intuitive sales reporting with 100% confidence in integrity and is informative to SLT at any time requested.
Product Launches & Marketing Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing teams on product launches and promotional campaigns in the US market.
- Provide feedback to product development teams on US-specific needs, consumer preferences, and performance of current product lines.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to drive online traffic, optimize the customer journey, and maximize conversions in US and Canadian markets.
Travel & Events
- Represent HydraPak at national trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Travel frequently (25-30%) to meet with partners, distributors, and customers.
- Own all sales aspects of prep, set up, and execution at sales trade shows and buying group shows.
Experience And Qualifications
Education & Training
- Bachelors degree in business, communications, or related field required, or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of sales or business development experience with product and category management; prior experience with major accounts or independent sales representative management is beneficial. Outdoor industry experience required
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Gmail/Outlook
- CRM software (Zendesk) and ERP knowledge preferred

Qualifications
- Current drivers license with good driving record
- Current passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of communicating with global teams
- Ability to travel up to 30 percent to visit customers, attend events, and attend trade shows both internationally and domestically
Compensation And Benefits
This is a full-time position based in our Longmont, CO office Monday-Thursday with Fridays remote eligible. Pay range for this position is $140,000-$155,000 annually, based on the individuals experience and qualifications. This role includes an annual bonus of up to 10 percent plus a performance-based bonus accelerator. HydraPak offers up to 120 hours of Paid Time Off in the first year of service, 11 paid holidays, a range of insurance benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life, starting the first of the month following a 30-day waiting period, and a 401(k) plan with company match of up to 3.5 percent after 90 days
