Senior Quality Manager

About The Role

This role is essential in ensuring the highest quality standards in our clients operations. You will lead the quality team, manage compliance, and drive continuous improvement to support the food supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Quality Control team for timely and compliant product release.
• Manage the Quality Assurance team to ensure accurate and on-schedule batch record reviews and nonconformance documentation.
• Oversee final product release, reviewing and approving analytical data, Certificates of Analysis, and product labeling for compliance.
• Maintain and execute core Quality Management System processes, including CAPAs, investigations, complaints, and change controls.
• Conduct root cause analyses and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform internal audits and maintain ISO 9001 certification, leading client, regulatory, and certification audits.
• Collaborate with Operations for effective corrective actions and with suppliers to maintain quality agreements and manage corrective action requests.
• Report monthly KPIs from the electronic QMS, including trend analysis of nonconformities and complaints.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline from an accredited university.
• Previous experience in laboratory or manufacturing environments.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a quality role preferred.
• Prior experience in people management.
• Preferred: Green Belt certification and ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
• Experience with audits and ISO 9001-certified environments.
• Experience in microbiology or food safety laboratory settings.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and promote quality culture.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.

Work Environment

• 4 days a week, Monday - Thursday, onsite in Lexington, KY.
