Obtain competitive component pricing from supply base for the purpose of providing system quotes to our customers.
Read customer blueprints and documents to accurately quote labor and determine material requirements
Initiate and maintain good working relationships with suppliers
Initiate cost-reduction activities to improve company profitability
Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, New Product Introduction, Sales, and Supply Chain Management to meet customer expectations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing/Materials background preferred
Experience of fabrication of semiconductor weldments preferred
Strong blueprint reading skills
Must have demonstrated experience in cost-reduction, supplier selection, and project management.
Excellent analytical, creative thinking, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to use ERP estimating systems such as Intuitive, Vista, Oracle, etc., MS Word and Access.
Advanced skills in MS Excel.
Ability to use SolidWorks and/or other STP file readers to gather information needed for quote.
Support, develop and improve estimating process and full understanding of the quote template.
Proactively identify inaccuracies or questions on drawings and / or specs.
Perform all aspects of estimating, analysis and verification of COG’s.
Provide reports to management on estimating data to ensure a clear message is sent and understood
Has the skills, knowledge and ability to stand in for the manager when he/she is absent.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
Associate’s degree in business administration, Engineering or equivalent work experience preferred
Background in welding or fabrication a plus
Experience Requirement:
Work Experience:
3-5 years in similar position.
Must possess a clear understanding of the weldment lifecycle.

Overnight Travel:
Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
