The Senior Specialist ensures SimCorp Dimension (SCD) users have a stable, reliable and high performing AABOR. The successful candidate will be accountable for performing the teams daily operations and providing support to business users in addressing moderate to complex business issues.
Position Responsibilities
- Monitor and clear SCD message queues and team mailbox to ensure timely processing of transactions and inquiries.
- Generate and track ad hoc security requests; ensure security master setup within defined SLAs.
- Investigate Transaction Hub (THUB) queries and create ad hoc transactions as needed.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement timely solutions.
- Execute user acceptance testing and validate end-to-end processes for new security types, functionalities, and system upgrades.
- Support period-end close processes and collaborate with business users and Global Solutions Delivery (GSD) to maintain key reports (Fund, Chart of Accounts, Accounting rules, Portfolio, etc.).
- Identify opportunities to optimize system capabilities to meet business requirements.
- Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in investment operations within insurance or financial services.
- Experience working directly with business clients and application support teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and adapt to new challenges.
- Comfortable influencing without authority.
- Willingness to work a night shift schedule as required by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension (SCD).
- Previous experience in investment operations specifically within insurance or financial services.
- Eagerness to build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners.
- Desire to learn new skills and continuously improve.
