The Teradyne Mechanical Engineering team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven Mechanical Engineer to focus on the development of mechanical systems for products within the division. Development occurs in a dynamic and challenging multi-site development environment.

Opportunity Overview

This person will champion product excellence by crafting and executing innovative quality assurance protocols that elevate industry standards and delight customer through:

• Design of metal support structures to house the test equipment
• Design of custom plastic injection molded components
• Design of automated machinery to transport components within the test system
• Tolerance analysis of mechanical parts and assemblies to ensure proper function and assembly
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of critical assemblies and parts to ensure material strength in application
• Thermal analysis and component design to ensure sufficient cooling of electronics
• Packaging of electronics, computers, and PCBAs
• Cable routing and cable harness design
• Executing good Design for Manufacturing practices to achieve cost and service objectives
• Detailed drawing creation and documentation releases
• Use of ASME and GD&T drawing standards and practices

• BSME or MSME
• Self Motivated individual
• Project experience with mechatronics
• Hands-on problem-solving experience
• Solidworks CAD
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Background in GD&T
• Solidworks PDM Pro is a plus.
