Opportunity Overview

A Hardware Engineer designs, develops, and tests electronic circuits and components under the guidance of senior mentors. They focus on practical execution, such as performing schematic capture, debugging PCB assemblies, and conducting hardware validation tests. By documenting technical specifications and troubleshooting design flaws, they ensure projects move efficiently from concept to functional prototype.

  • Assist US Hardware PCB engineering team in new product development.
  • Assist senior/design engineers in end-to-end design process.
  • Submit Commodity part requests and write ECNs.
  • Assist hardware engineers on PCB design validations of new products and existing board design respins.
  • Assist in "bring-up" and debugging physical prototypes using laboratory equipment and tools.
  • Create CAE models for schematic design and validate the models according to company-specific guidelines.
  • Perform manual PCB modifications (rework) such as soldering/desoldering surface-mount (SMD) components and adding jumper wires for circuit fixes.
  • Assist IST group Hardware PCB sustaining engineering and DISCON (Obsolescence).
  • Travel when needed to North Reading factory to perform final product verification

  • A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • Able to interpret board schematics.
  • Able to handle laboratory equipment and tools.
  • Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks and meet timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must possess a hands-on practical approach to problem solving.
  • Has a high sense of urgency and Methodical skills
  • Must be comfortable working with outside vendors and be willing to travel to the US.
