Opportunity Overview

The Engineering Technician will manage and maintain the engineering data within Teamcenter, ensuring accurate configuration, documentation, and change control for mobile industrial robot products. This role focuses on BOM configuration, engineering change order (ECO/ECN) execution, part number creation and modification, and technical data requirements review to meet engineering, manufacturing, and compliance needs across the product lifecycle.

  • PLM & Documentation Management: Maintain engineering parts, documents, and structures in Teamcenter, ensuring data integrity and compliance with standards.
  • BOM Management: Create and maintain accurate engineering BOMs aligned with approved designs and release readiness
  • Change Management: Process and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs/ECNs), coordinating cross-functional updates to parts, BOMs, and documents.
  • Part Management: Create and revise part numbers, manage lifecycle states, and ensure accurate metadata within the PLM system.
  • Technical Data Review: Validate completeness and compliance of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for release and manufacturing.
  • Cross-Functional Engagement: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other teams while working with product releases and driving process improvements.

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in PLM, engineering documentation, BOM, or configuration control.
  • Hands-on experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
  • Working experience with ECO/ECN processes, BOM structures, and part lifecycle management.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents like datasheets.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication skills for cross-functional engagement.
  • Experience in robotics, automation, or industrial equipment.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, sourcing, or compliance documentation.
  • Experience working in cross-functional or global engineering environments.
