Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail oriented Operating Room Assistant to join our Surgical Team!

• This position will likely be 3 8-hour shifts or 2 12-hour shifts**
  
  

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and at the direction of an anesthesia provider, is responsible for assisting the anesthesia provider with stocking, cleaning and turnover of anesthesia equipment and the OR in conjunction with the nursing staff. Monitors and maintains the anesthesia service with appropriate supplies, assistance with the needs of the anesthesia provider assists in the transport of patients and facilitates rapid turnover in the OR and anesthesia from case to case. Demonstrates knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic technique. Able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact, stamina and endurance.

Qualifications And Preferred Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to achieve CPR certification within 60 days of employment.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement.
• Previous experience is preferred
