Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Lab assistant to join Downer, a road surfacing crew in Bathurst NSW. Your role is to help assist road construction materials to make sure they meet quality standards.

What Youll Do In The Role

Sample handling
Collect or receive materials like asphalt, soil and gravel
Label, prepare and store sample correctly
Run basic lab tests
Follow set procedures and standards for each test
Data entry
Help keep the lab organised and safe
Work closely with senior technicians and supervisors

What Is Required From You

Lab experience is preferred but not essential
Be able to work days and nights
Able to pass pre-employment medical
Drivers licence essential
Whitecard is a must
Have great teamwork and reliability
Attention to detail
Safety focused
