Spurgeons is a leading childrens charity committed to supporting vulnerable children, young people and families to achieve lasting change.
Working in partnership with Wiltshire Council, our Family Hub teams provide early help and wraparound support to families across the county, helping to strengthen relationships, build resilience and improve outcomes for families.
We are now looking for an experienced Senior Community Support Practitioner to join our West Wiltshire Family Hub team, working directly with families in the community, supporting them to access the right services at the right time.
About The Role
Manage a small caseload of families, providing targeted early help support within the community
Support families to access appropriate local services that improve outcomes for children
Build strong partnerships with schools, health services and voluntary organisations
Represent the Family Hub at multi‑agency meetings and local partnership groups
Line manage Family Navigators and supervise volunteers delivering family support
Collect and report outcome data to demonstrate impact and support service development
About You
Hold a Level 3 or 4 qualification in family support, youth work, community development or similar
Have experience supporting children and families through early intervention or outreach
Have knowledge and experience of safeguarding and child development
Be confident working with families from diverse communities
Have experience working in partnership with other professionals or services
Be able to work flexibly across community settings within West Wiltshire
