Mechanical Supervisor RO

Overview

For a desalination plant construction project:

Supervise and lead installation works in Reverse Osmosis (RO) building for:

• RO Racks (including headers)
• RO Membrane loading
• HP pumps
• ERD (energy recovery device)
  
  

The main responsibilities are to manage mechanical equipment works within quality, schedule and budget,

and avoid claims.

Detailed Tasks

Preparation works

• Prepare installation sequence for equipment and piping.
• Review supplier quality documentation.
• Prepare detailed procedures, method statements, lifting plans, and ITP / ITR.
• Review and comment Engineering deliverables such as equipment supplier drawings, isometrics,
  
  

civil guide drawings, GA drawings, equipment list, 3D model.

• Prepare BOQ and MTO as necessary with marked-up drawings
• Participate to construction schedule preparation, look ahead, manpower and equipment resource
  
  

loading – in RO building.

• Prepare interfaces with Civil partner and Civil Supervisor.
  
  

Deliveries & inspections

• Conduct material delivery inspections for mechanical equipment, pipe supports, pipe, fittings, in
  
  

line instrumentation, internal and with Client.

During Fabrication works

• Oversee RO rack fabrication at workshop.
• Witness trial assembly and testing.
  
  

During Construction works

• Responsible for preparing and accepting handover from Civil.
• Conduct civil handover inspections and surveys at site.
• Supervisor subcontractor’s manpower at site.
• Manage direct manpower and subcontractors for mechanical equipment installation and testing
  
  

to ensure quality works in line with construction schedule and avoid claims.

• Conduct site inspection and coordinate with QC to ensure all ITP / test sheets are completed.
• Provide inputs for weekly progress reports.
• Other activities as requested by Lead Mechanical Supervisor or Construction Manager.

During Commissioning works

• Assistance during pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Prepare punch list and the follow-up.
  
  

HSE & Ethics

• Followed the HSE procedures and Ethics policy.
• Ensure proper Health and Safety in work areas.
• Responsible for the safety of the work and must coordinate with the HSE manager.
• Ensure proper Safety in work areas.
