I.About Financial Controller

The Financial Controller is a key leadership position responsible for managing the companys accounting operations with a focus on high-level accuracy and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. A primary requirement for this role is a deep understanding of US Financial Standards, enabling the individual to bridge local financial reporting with US GAAP requirements. This role is essential for organizations operating as shared services, BPOs, or subsidiaries of US-based entities, ensuring that all financial data is "investor-ready" and compliant with international standards.

II.Key Duties & Accountabilities

• US GAAP Alignment: Manage the conversion of local financial statements to US GAAP standards for monthly and year-end closing.
• Global Consolidation: Oversee the consolidation of financial results across different regions, ensuring consistency in accounting treatments and revenue recognition.
• Taxation Knowledge: Provide oversight on US Federal tax principles and how they interact with local tax laws (e.g., withholding taxes, VAT/Sales tax nexus, and treaty benefits).
• Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal control frameworks that meet international best practices (such as SOX-lite environments) to ensure data integrity.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive financial packages for US-based stakeholders, including P&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow projections.
• Audit Coordination: Lead the coordination with external auditors who perform audits under AICPA or PCAOB standards.
• Currency & Treasury: Manage multi-currency transactions and provide analysis on the impact of exchange rate fluctuations on the US Dollar reporting.
• Process Automation: Leverage accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, or QuickBooks US) to automate reporting and reduce manual errors in international accounting.
  
  

III.Minimum Hiring Requirements

• Proven Experience: 8+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting, with at least 35 years specifically handling US Financial reporting or US-based clients.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is mandatory. Familiarity with ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) is a plus.
• Professional Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Exposure to US CPA or CMA curricula is highly preferred.
• Systems Proficiency: Experience with Cloud ERPs that support US accounting modules (e.g., NetSuite, SAP Business One, or Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Industry Background: Experience in industries with heavy US ties, such as IT Services, SaaS, BPO, or Multinational Manufacturing.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to perform complex financial analysis and translate local financial performance into terms understandable to US executives.
• Communication: Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, for reporting to international management.
