Job Purpose

A Test Tech is responsible for validating product quality, safety, and performance running diagnostic tests on electronic components, systems, hardware, or software

Nature Of Job Duties

• Operate automated and manual test equipment for PCBAs and electronic systems
• Perform functional and final testing
• Read and follow work instructions, schematics, and test procedures
• Identify, isolate, and report defects or failures
• Perform basic troubleshooting and re-testing
• Document test results accurately in tracking systems
• Work with engineering or technicians to resolve recurring issues
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation (often following ESD protocols)
  
  

• Functional test stations
• Oscilloscopes, multimeters
• Automated test systems (ATE)
• Fixtures and test jigs
  
  

• Basic understanding of electronics and circuits
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints
• Familiarity with computer-based test systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Basic data entry and documentation
