In this role, you will serve as the senior operations technical lead during all engineering builds and product ramps. You will act as the primary bridge between Apple Design and our suppliers’ manufacturing teams, providing a single technical voice to product project teams and ensuring the successful introduction of new products.

Ensure a smooth handoff of the product to the Supplier Quality Engineering team.
Drive the resolution of complex technical issues during bring-up and throughout the life of the product, identifying necessary technical changes to support operations.
Partner closely with engineering and operational program teams through all phases of development and product introduction to enable success.
Frequently travel to domestic and international supplier facilities and CM factories
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree or above in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Validated experience supporting new product launches to mass production from a mechanical, system engineering, or product development perspective with a solid understanding of DFM, DOE, and SPC techniques.
Strong command of English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills and the ability to translate high-level goals into clear, actionable plans
Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder programs
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally on a frequent basis
Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and Engineering Requirement Specifications (ERS)
Proficient in statistical analysis with hands-on experience in JMP or Minitab
Comfortable building and managing cross-functional networks across internal teams and external partners (suppliers, contract manufacturers)
Proven ability to apply structured problem-solving methodologies — from failure analysis through to root cause identification, corrective action, and prevention
Solid experience in precision manufacturing, automation, and assembly processes — with a strong preference for time spent on the factory floor
Passionate about the consumer electronics industry with relevant experience in quality engineering, process engineering, or product development
Familiar with modern technologies, including Python, Machine Learning, and AI, and eager to leverage them to advance quality and operational outcomes
Proficiency in Mandarin is a strong advantage, given the nature of supplier and factory engagements across the region
