We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) Employee Relations to serve as a strategic and operational HR partner for business units with a workforce of at least 500 employees. The role will be primarily responsible for managing employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with Philippine labor laws, and representing the company in labor-related proceedings, including cases filed before the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC).
The ideal candidate has strong experience handling complex employee relations issues, conducting administrative investigations, managing disciplinary processes, and minimizing labor risks through proactive employee engagement and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Case Management
Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employee relations concerns across assigned business units.
Investigate employee complaints, grievances, misconduct, workplace conflicts, and policy violations.
Conduct administrative hearings and ensure due process in accordance with Philippine labor laws and company policies.
Prepare notices, disciplinary actions, case documentation, and investigation reports.
Provide guidance to managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee conduct issues.
Develop and implement employee relations strategies to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Labor Relations & Legal Compliance
Handle and represent the company in labor-related cases before DOLE, NLRC, and other government agencies.
Coordinate with legal counsel in preparing position papers, affidavits, evidence, and other case requirements.
Monitor labor cases and provide recommendations to mitigate legal and operational risks.
Ensure compliance with the Labor Code of the Philippines and related employment regulations.
Conduct regular audits of HR practices and employee documentation to ensure compliance.
HR Business Partnership
Partner with business leaders to address workforce challenges and organizational needs.
Provide HR consultation on employee engagement, retention, organizational development, and workforce planning.
Analyze employee relations trends and recommend proactive interventions.
Support organizational change initiatives and workforce restructuring activities when necessary.
Employee Engagement
Facilitate employee engagement programs and conflict-resolution initiatives.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze employee feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Promote a culture of fairness, accountability, and compliance.
HR Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and disciplinary actions.
Prepare reports and metrics on employee relations issues, labor cases, and compliance matters.
Ensure proper documentation and record management in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience, with significant focus on Employee Relations and Labor Relations.
Proven experience supporting or handling a workforce of 500+ employees.
Demonstrated experience handling DOLE, NLRC, SENA, and labor-related cases from investigation through resolution.
Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, due process requirements, and labor relations practices.
Experience conducting administrative investigations and preparing legal and HR documentation.
Strong stakeholder management and conflict-resolution skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.
