Job Overview

As a Chemistry Lab Supervisor on our Manufacturing Engineering team, you will:

• Lead and oversee laboratory operations supporting plating processes
• Ensure chemical baths meet required specifications for production quality
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and process optimization
• Oversee local wastewater treatment system and hazardous waste shipments
  
  

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily lab activities, including analysis of plating baths, waste treatment, and process solutions
• Maintain and optimize plating chemistries (e.g., nickel, tin, precious metals)
• Maintain wastewater treatment system
• Precious metal accountability
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (EPA, OSHA, etc.)
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for lab testing and reporting
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on process improvements and validations
• Manage chemical inventory and vendor relationships
• Train and mentor lab technicians and ensure proper documentation practices
  
  

What Your Background Should Look Like

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in electroplating or surface finishing operations
• Strong knowledge of wet chemistry, titrations, and analytical techniques
• Experience with plating processes such as electroplating and surface treatment
• Familiarity with environmental compliance and wastewater treatment systems
• Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $104,800– $157,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
