Your Responsibilities

  • Near Infrared (NIR) Analysis:
  • Operate and maintain NIR spectrometers and related equipment to perform real-time quality checks on raw materials and finished products.
  • Calibrate and validate NIR systems to ensure accuracy and consistency of results.
  • Analyze and interpret NIR spectra, adjusting parameters for optimal data accuracy.
  • Ensure that NIR results align with product specifications and quality standards.
  • Quality Control & Inspection:
  • Perform physical inspections of products at various stages of production to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Measure dimensions, weight, and other product attributes using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Identify defects or deviations from quality specifications and document findings.
  • Work closely with production teams to identify root causes of defects and suggest corrective actions.
  • Data Recording & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of all NIR results, inspections, and test outcomes.
  • Compile and present daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for review by management.
  • Ensure that inspection results are accurately documented and aligned with regulatory and company standards.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to NIR equipment or product quality.
  • Perform minor maintenance and calibration of NIR systems and other inspection tools.
  • Investigate deviations in product quality and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective measures.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure all activities comply with internal quality control standards, industry regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and reports are provided.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating quality control protocols, NIR calibration documents, and inspection records.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with the QA team, production staff, and engineering to ensure product quality.
  • Provide feedback to the production team regarding any quality issues or improvements.
  • Assist in training new employees on quality inspection procedures and NIR equipment use.

Your Profile

  • Education: Associates degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Quality Control, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a quality assurance or inspection role, preferably with experience in using NIR technology.
  • Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques, including measurement instruments and inspection procedures.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting NIR spectrometers and related software.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures and standards in manufacturing or laboratory environments.
  • Good knowledge of safety standards and environmental health regulations related to product testing.
  • Analytical Skills:
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical data, such as NIR spectra and inspection measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting findings.
  • Communication:
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
