AMI is seeking a dedicated Urgent Care Physician to provide onsite clinical services at the Erie VA Medical Center’s Urgent Care Center in Erie, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will deliver timely, high-quality care to U.S. veterans in a fast-paced urgent care setting, supporting a mission that truly makes a difference.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute medical conditions
- Perform triage, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
- Stabilize patients and coordinate transfers when higher levels of care are needed
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and test results clearly
- Provide discharge instructions and follow-up care guidance
Care Coordination & Collaboration
- Collaborate with referring providers to ensure continuity of care
- Coordinate appropriate follow-up services for patients
- Work closely with interdisciplinary care teams in a collaborative environment
Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Complete required documentation for performance and quality assurance
- Follow patient safety and incident reporting protocols

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to obtain VA credentialing and privileging
Skills & Abilities
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to successfully complete AMI’s credentialing process
