Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Maintenance Manager!

The Maintenance Manager is accountable in overseeing efficient and effective operations of the Maintenance Department spanning asset management & inventory control, facilities and utilities operations, preventive maintenance planning & execution, and line maintenance and instrumentation, following implementation applicable of maintenance, quality, occupational safety and line HR systems, anchored with business needs and objectives. The Maintenance Manager shall ensure implementation of capital expenditure projects and control repairs & maintenance budget, ensuring efficient resource management focused on maximizing overall equipment effectiveness, and cost savings & improvement.

Duties, Responsibilities And Authorities

The Maintenance Manager shall:

  • Lead the Maintenance Team by overseeing and managing maintenance operations based on execution plans and targets, ensuring operational compliance based on key performance indicators and key results areas, as aligned with business objectives and business needs;
  • Monitor strategic planning activities, and execution of plans and programs of the Department;
  • Ensure implementation of policies and internal memorandum; and align with updates on implemented policies and standards related but not limited to EHS Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC; and as in the case may be, form part of the Internal Audit team and ensure compliance on established management systems mentioned;
  • Ensure and lead implementation of corrective and preventive maintenance within the perimeters of the site, serving as process champion for breakdown analyses, basic equipment care, and PM planning;
  • Oversee end-to-end resource management (e.g. repairs and maintenance budget allocations, PM planning & execution) and inventory control (e.g. spare parts and maintenance consumables); and manage allocation of the department budget;
  • Represent the organization, as needed, in functional congregations, especially in liaising with Corporate Maintenance Group, and other Maintenance Managers from different URC BCFG Plants;
  • Perform assigned tasks for subordinates including, but not limited to, daily direction settings, capability development, talent management, employee discipline, and performance & goals management; and
  • Perform other tasks and functions as may be delegated by the Immediate Superior.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of any engineering course, preferably with license/certification on Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering; Professional-level license, or graduate studies, preferably related to Business Administration or Engineering, is an advantage;
  • With at least 7 years of experience in manufacturing industry, 3 years of which in managerial capacity. Experience in food and beverage manufacturing is an advantage;
  • Has a deep knowledge in end-to-end value chain management for Maintenance operations spanning Line Maintenance & Instrumentation, Facilities & Utilities Operations, Asset Management & Inventory Control, and PM Planning & Execution;
  • With aptitude in implementing relevant management systems in the food industry, including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL and FSSC;
  • With prominent leadership, communication and basic management (planning, leading, organizing and controlling) skills;
  • With proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams, at minimum), and SAP; and
  • With excellent people management skills, backed by solid experience in coaching, mentoring, employee discipline, performance management, talent development and change management. Familiarity with labor laws and line human resources functions is required.
