Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor II

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 5:00 PM–3:30 AM (One Saturday every 12 weeks)

Location: DeLand, FL 32724

Job Summary

The Supervisor II, Laboratory (Auto Chemistry) oversees day-to-day operations of the Auto Chemistry department, ensuring quality testing, efficient workflow, and team performance. This role provides hands-on leadership, supports quality and compliance standards, and supervises laboratory staff on an assigned shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support lab teammates to ensure quality, productivity, and compliance
• Monitor workflow from specimen processing through results reporting
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements
• Lead training, competency assessments, and performance evaluations
• Manage staffing, scheduling, timecards, and coverage
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Participate in quality improvement, safety, and compliance initiatives
• Cover bench work as needed
  
  

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

• 6–8 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Laboratory Supervisor
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or related field
• Florida Supervisor License – Chemistry
• National certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
