An IT Technician is responsible for maintaining the computer systems and networks of an organization. They provide technical support and ensure the smooth operation of Information Technology in correspondence with business operations. An IT Technician's role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software systems, responding to technical queries, and ensuring proper IT security measures are in place. Responsibilities

• Install and configure hardware, software, and networks in the organization.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks proactively.
• Respond promptly to service issues and technical requests from employees.
• Provide technical support across the company on various IT-related issues.
• Set up new user accounts, user permissions, and profiles within IT systems.
• Troubleshoot system, network problems, and diagnose hardware or software faults.
• Follow up on malfunctioning equipment and coordinate repair efforts if necessary.
• Maintain security protocols, ensuring data protection practices are applied consistently.
• Maintain records and documentation of software licensing, updates, and warranties.
• Coordinate with external vendors for hardware supplies and service management.
• Take part in continuous improvement efforts concerning IT processes and tools.
• Educate and train employees on new technology and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Experience with operating systems, networks, and application support crucial.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to address technical problems efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both technical and non-technical settings.
• Knowledge of IT security practices and data protection principles.
• Familiarity with various IT management software and tools is highly desirable.
• Time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
