Job Description

The HR Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources department of an organization. This position is integral for ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department and assisting with the daily administrative operations. The HR Assistant works closely with the HR team to provide support in different areas including recruitment, employee relations, record-keeping, benefits administration, and compliance. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently. The HR Assistant will report to the HR Manager and will be a key contributor in helping maintain a productive and harmonious workplace.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process by scheduling interviews and conducting reference checks.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure all personnel files are up to date.
  • Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation sessions.
  • Facilitate communication between employees and HR management regarding inquiries.
  • Prepare and maintain employment documentation and performance analysis reports.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits and answer related questions.
  • Manage HR databases and generate reports as needed for the HR department.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
  • Help ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
  • Assist with payroll processing by providing relevant employee information.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of employee and company data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Assistant or relevant administrative role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear correspondence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software systems.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and compliance regulations is preferred.
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail required.
