Job Description

The PLP Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of semiconductor manufacturing equipment used in wafer-level packaging processes. This role ensures maximum equipment uptime, process stability, and adherence to safety and quality standards while providing technical leadership to junior technicians.

  • Serve as the only trained personnel onsite during night hours, ensuring continuous monitoring of critical PLP tools and utilities.
  • Respond immediately to any tool alarms, failures, or abnormal conditions, especially those involving wet processes and bulk chemical systems.
  • Execute emergency shutdown, safety containment, or recovery procedures when incidents occur involving chemicals, utilities, or tool malfunctions.
  • Perform first‑level troubleshooting for facilities‑related interruptions (e.g., power fluctuations, CDA excursions, vacuum issues, chilled water instability).
  • Ensure equipment and chemical systems remain in a safe and stable state throughout non‑production hours.
  • Coordinate with Facilities, EHS, and Engineering teams for escalations when critical conditions require additional expertise.
  • Complete detailed incident logs and handover reports for Engineering and Production teams to review the next day.
  • Support environmental and chemical safety compliance by conducting periodic checks of chemical cabinets, scrubbers, drains, exhaust, and containment systems.
  • Act as the first responder in case of chemical spills, leaks, or safety alarms, given the absence of other staff on the line at night.

Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or related field. Engineering Degree
