Job Description

The PLP Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of semiconductor manufacturing equipment used in wafer-level packaging processes. This role ensures maximum equipment uptime, process stability, and adherence to safety and quality standards while providing technical leadership to junior technicians.

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on PLP equipment (e.g., wafer saw, grinders, chip attach, lasermark, tape and reel, auto mounters, testers).
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and software-related equipment issues.
• Minimize equipment downtime through rapid root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate equipment logs, maintenance records, and documentation.
• Performs close monitoring of tools during the night shift for any alarms that are triggered causing the tool to shutdown for utilities pressure, temperature and flow
• Ensure the Saw, Backgrind, Lasermark, Tape and Reel, Auto Mounters, Chip Attach, Mold and Debonder temperatures, utilities pressure and flow are within required levels
