Emerald State High School is seeking applications for a Teacher Aide to join the team.

In this role, you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.

This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.79FTE), 60 hours per fortnight.

Your new role

As a Teacher Aide You Will Be Required To

  • Display respect and empathy for students with high level needs
  • Support students in and out of the classroom, including during playground duty
  • Display confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families
  • Assist with personal care needs as required, including general health and safety of students - training will be provided
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and students to support positive outcomes
  • Support students with self-regulation and curriculum access
  • Support the use of reasonable adjustments for students with disability
  • Proven ability to work independently, achieving quality work outcomes
  • Demonstrated high-level communication skills
  • Efficient multi-tasking, time management and organisational skills
