This position will initially focus on stabilizing and standardizing our Fixed Asset (FA) process, an area with strong opportunity for improvement and impact. Once the FA process is fully optimized, the role will expand to include financial reporting, accounting operations, tax compliance, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration, offering meaningful exposure and growth within the organization.
What Youll Do
Immediate Priority – Fixed Asset Process
Lead the end-to-end Fixed Asset (FA) process across all entities, ensuring accurate capitalization, tagging, reconciliation, and reporting.
Standardize FA procedures, including additions, disposals, transfers, buyouts, depreciation runs, and month-end reporting.
Drive the implementation of FA Module in Acumatica.
Coordinate with IT and Operations teams to establish and maintain effective controls over storage, asset movement and tagging.
Support audits and compliance reviews, providing schedules and reconciliations related to fixed assets.
Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and annual closings for multiple entities (US, Davao, Bacolod)
Perform detailed P&L and balance sheet variance analysis to identify key trends, risks, and evaluate departmental performance drivers.
Perform proper consolidation and application of revenue recognition standards relevant to BPO operations.
Develop management reports and insights that support leadership decisions.
Maintain accurate reconciliations and schedules in full compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Accounting Operations
Assist in managing day-to-day accounting processes, including general accounting, accounts payable, accruals, and fixed assets, while coordinating with related functions such as accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury.
Assist in reviewing completeness and accuracy of journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules across multiple entities.
Assist in reconciling intercompany transactions and balances between the US and PH entities.
Tax, Audit & Compliance
Support the Head of Finance, Controller and Tax Accountant in analyzing and addressing tax-related matters, including LOAs, reconciliations, compliance reports, and financial audits.
Assist in providing internal and external audit requirements, ensuring that supporting schedules, reconciliations, and analytics are accurate and submitted on time
Assist in ensuring adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with regulatory requirements across the US and PH entities.
Process Improvements
Support automation and digitization initiatives to streamline accounting workflows and improve reporting efficiency
Help document, implement, and maintain strong accounting policies and procedures for continuous improvement and cross-training within the team.
Leverage systems and tools (e.g., Acumatica) to strengthen the closing process and reporting accuracy.
Collaboration & Leadership Support
Partner with department leaders and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, schedules, and analytics as needed.
Provide guidance and support to the accounting team, fostering knowledge-sharing and problem-solving.
Proactively engage with US and PH counterparts, ensuring alignment in reporting and analysis across entities.
Take ownership of ad hoc projects, reports, and requests from management.
