Real Estate Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Property Accountant with a strong background in real estate accounting. This is a requirement. The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on experience with both AppFolio and QuickBooks Online (QBO) and be comfortable managing the full accounting cycle for property management operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle property accounting for residential and/or commercial real estate portfolios.
• Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Process tenant charges, rent collections, owner distributions, and vendor payments.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Maintain accurate financial records in AppFolio and QuickBooks Online.
• Support budgeting, reporting, and audit preparation.
• Work closely with property managers and ownership regarding financial matters.
  
  
  

• Real estate accounting experience is required.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AppFolio (required).
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) (required).
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, AP, AR, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of property management accounting principles.
