Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Highly organised, flexible with good communication and keyboard skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as client interaction will be required
  • The ability to work within a team, a good eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • Surveyor: BOHS P402 or RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Surveying
  • Analyst: BOHS P403 & P404 or RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Air Monitoring and Clearance Procedures

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Ensure the contract admin team schedule survey appointments, liaise with tenants via telephone and letter and ensure appointments are booked in accordance with the Contracts and that Surveyors, working on the contracts, days are maximised ensuring that daily targets are met.
  • Liaise with Clients and attend regular meetings to ensure contracts are running smoothly and clients are happy with the performance of the company.
  • Attend meetings to discuss findings with clients. Oversee asbestos removal projects, including compiling specifications, issuing forms of tender to contractors, vetting tenders in conjunction with Technical Director/Regional Operations Manager, attending pre-contract and on-going site meetings, assisting analytical staff with day to day supervision of project.
  • Knowledge of current legislation. Liaise with the client, progress of contracts, future proposals.
  • Maintain targets set by the Directors/ Regional Operations Manager / Associate Director and act on any urgent instructions received.
  • To manage all associated contract documents including KPI, survey logs etc., and to provide weekly updates to the Project Director/ Regional Operations Manager/ Project Manager or Account Manager and ensure all reports are delivered within the contracted timescales and any client specific exports are delivered accordingly. Highlight any problems with the contract, including complaints, to the Directors / Regional Operations Manager/ Associate Director and to follow agreed procedures for such events.
  • Ensure new orders are added and work status is recorded and that accurate costs are recorded on TEAMS to enable staff utilisation to be accurately updated.
  • To communicate with the laboratory and plan drawer’s. To highlight when samples and plans are overdue. This should be communicated to the Directors / Regional Operations Manager / Associate Director.
  • To liaise with Accounts Department to ensure that all work issued is invoiced on a monthly basis or as per the specific contract requirements.
  • Issue a regular update to inform all parties of report quantities at each stage for daily/weekly/monthly targets.
  • Provide assistance and support to the Directors/ Regional Operations Manager / Associate Directors.
  • Undertake a CDM Training course of the company’s choice.
  • Obtain the SSSTS training qualification.
  • A minimum of either the P402 or P403 & 404 is required.
  • Maintain invoicing and WIP at an acceptable level.
  • Discover and pursue new Sales opportunities
  • Cover operational needs when Regional Operations Manager is not available.
