Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager leads the overall QA function to ensure that all products consistently meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role manages QA systems, drives compliance, maintains certifications, and champions continuous improvement across commissary or production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Quality Management and Quality Assurance programs in line with regulatory, client, and global standards.
• Ensure full compliance with QA policies, GMP, Food Safety standards, HACCP, ISO, and other quality frameworks.
• Oversee QA operations, laboratory activities, documentation, and certification requirements.
• Drive product quality and food safety enhancements, supporting innovation, expansion, and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Manage department resources, budgeting, manpower planning, and capability building.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate QA personnel; identify training needs and support team development.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, logistics partners, and government agencies (e.g., FDA, NMIS, BAI, BFAR, LGUs).
  
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or a related science field.
• Must be a licensed Chemist or licensed Chemical Engineer.
• A relevant masters degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Food QA, R&D, or Manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, QA testing, analytical techniques, and QA systems.
• Experience implementing QMS such as HACCP, ISO, SPC; background in bakery or meat processing is a plus.
• Willing to work onsite and perform fieldwork, external audits, inspections, and supplier visits as needed.
