Production Assistant Manager Plant Food Manufacturing

The Production Assistant Manager is responsible for end-to-end management of a designated production area, ensuring efficient operations aligned with volume targets, quality standards, and food safety requirements. This role drives operational excellence through effective planning, team leadership, process optimization, and strict adherence to GMP, sanitation, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute production plans and schedules based on demand forecasts and operational requirements
• Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient workflow, optimal resource utilization, and on-time delivery of output
• Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
• Monitor and drive performance against key production metrics (yield, downtime, efficiency, waste, etc.)
• Identify and implement process improvements, equipment enhancements, and cost-efficiency initiatives
• Oversee accurate and timely preparation of production and operational reports
• Build capability within the team through training, coaching, and performance management
• Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, maintenance, supply chain, and other support teams to resolve operational issues and improve overall plant performance
  
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electronics) or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in food manufacturing or plant operations
• At least 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment
• Working knowledge of food processing, GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
• Experience in conducting training, production briefings, or team development programs
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
• Willing to be based in or near Danao, Cebu
