About The Role
Knighted is looking for an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our growing team. You’ll be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management across our multi-industry organization. We’re looking for someone who can serve as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues, developing resources that bring HR solutions to match business needs.
You’ll be focused primarily on employee relations, investigations, and talent planning, but will assess strategic organizational needs throughout the company. Our ideal candidate will drive change, building high-performing teams, and growing leadership capability and capacity aligned to the business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular meetings with respective business units
- Act as a single point of contact for the employees and managers in the business unit
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation. Manage complex and difficult HR projects cross-functionally
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
- Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
- Act as the performance improvement driver and provoke positive changes in people management
- Challenge the organizational structure of the internal client and propose changes
- Develop and mentor other HR team members
- Research internal and external best practices
Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of related experience
- Degree in human resources, business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience
- Broad business knowledge across fields such as accounting, marketing, business administration, and finance
Qualities & Preferences
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategy to organizational goals
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with management and employees at all levels
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable HR solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple modes including face-to-face, email, phone, and written documentation
- Ability to manage complex, sensitive employee relations matters with objectivity and discretion
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and a commitment to delivering results
