Director of Student Services

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

• Provides strategic leadership and oversight of student services by ensuring effective systems for discipline, attendance, compliance, student transfers, counseling, and health services; administering complaint and Title IX processes; and supporting the fair, timely resolution of student and parent concerns while promoting equitable, legally compliant practices across the District.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

• Valid Texas Teacher Certification
• Master’s Degree
• Principal or Mid-Management Certification or equivalent

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of compulsory attendance laws, school discipline codes, and MTSS systems
• Familiarity with McKinney-Vento and foster care compliance
• Ability to lead professional development and train administrators
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years in a campus administrative leadership role
• Central office or director-level experience preferred
