This is a full-time, grant-funded position for 12 months. Hiring of this position is subject to the award of the grant.

About This Role

The Deputy Manager will support the overall planning, implementation, and monitoring of related projects under s upporting peacebuilding through strengthening essential health and nutrition, WASH and education services for vulnerable children and adolescents in Maguindanao and Cotabato City, BARMM. This role ensures that the project is implemented efficiently and effectively to achieve its targets, working in close collaboration with the ChildFund Country Office, the local implementing partners, and local stakeholders, including the DOH Center for Health Development (CHD), Provincial and Municipal Health Offices, the technical specialists and field teams.

Required Experience And Education

  • Bachelors degree in international development, public health, social work, or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in health-related project management, preferably in immunization or maternal and child health.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or mid-management role.
  • Experience working with UNICEF, WHO, DOH, or other health-sector donors.
  • Proven track record in budget oversight, donor reporting, and results-based management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations across departments to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Supervise and support team leaders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor performance metrics and generate regular reports for senior management.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
  • Resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
  • Support budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation in collaboration with the Program Manager.
  • Represent the Program Manager in meetings and decision-making when required.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing work culture.
  • Remain alert and responsive to any safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Safeguarding Policy.
